On June 13-16, over one hundred Freed-Hardeman alumni attended a special reunion on FHU's campus. The gathering, called the Golden Year Reunion, is hosted by the Office of Alumni Relations. The Golden Year Reunion is held for alumni who attended or graduated fifty or more years ago. That means that every class from 1962 and before were invited back for this great event!
The reunion is held over the course of three days and includes seminars, awards, a memory session. Chapel in Old Chapel Hall, devotionals, and most importantly, FOOD! This year’s theme was “Don’t Be Cruel…Join Us For a Blue Suede Reunion!” and had an Elvis theme. We even had a great Elvis impersonator at the dinner on Thursday night.
This year was even more special, as we welcomed Dr. Milton Sewell into the Golden Year Reunion. Dr. Sewell was an important part of the planning process and helped to get over thirty of his fellow classmates to the reunion.
Special thanks to everybody at FHU who helped make this reunion a sweeping success. Or…should I say…”Thank you….thank you vurrry much…..”
