The 2011 Research Day is just about a week away and the High Performance Computing research group will be making two presentations. We are looking forward to sharing our research with all of the students in the School of Science and Mathematics and anyone else who may attend!
Zachary Rose will be delivering a presentation on Benchmarking in High Performance Computing. He will discuss some benchmarking suites and also share results obtained from benchmarking our HPC.
Caleb Hutson and Ethan Kershaw, along with Lauren Frazier from the Molecular Dynamics Research Group, will have a presentation on Software and Simulations in Supercomputing. They will explain how HPC functions as a cluster, how to use GPU technologies to efficiently compute complex calculations, and how to solve real-world problems with supercomputing.
We are excited about Research Day 2011 and hope you will come and enjoy hearing about all the research that is being done at Freed-Hardeman University.
