I had the privilege this year of working my second summer as an intern for Michael Plyler in FHU IT. Now, with the semester under way, I am well into my second year as an intern and it has been an amazing experience.
The main project for me and Lance Williams (a fellow intern) this summer was Contribute, a backchannel application enabling communication and collaboration. We released Contribute on August 23, and it is being introduced to faculty and students this semester. I believe that Contribute will bring a new dynamic to the classroom at Freed-Hardeman, as well as find other practical uses such as event and project organization. To see more about Contribute and our other development efforts, check out http://fhu.edu/development.
I’ve now transitioned back to being a full time student and working on research with Zachary Rose, Ike Roland, Cory Dalton and Andy Maach, led by Dr. Kenan Casey. We have a lengthy list of projects this semester and are looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish.
