We are very excited that we will have six faculty and staff (Holly Rowsey, Jennifer Creecy, Cliff Thompson, Patrick Bolton, Margaret Payne & Monte Tatom) that will be attending ISTE 2014 in Atlanta, GA from Friday, 6/27/2014 to Tuesday, 7/1/2014. Four faculty and staff (A.B. White, Jason Brashier, Sarah Ridinger & Gene Reeves) will be taking part in ISTE Live (virtual conference) Monday, 6/30/2014.
Dr. Monte Tatom will be conducting a Roundtable discussion Saturday afternoon on the "iLearn Program: Integrating Student Learning and Collaborative Technology" at Global Education Day from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. He will be conducting an Ignite Session Sunday morning on "Collaboration with TwitCast" at the ISTE APLN Forum from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. He will also be leading a Roundtable discussion Tuesday afternoon on "Collaboration with TwitCast" at the Online Learning Institute from 12:35 PM to 1:25 PM.
Dr. Tatom will also be serving as an ISTE 2014 Volunteer. He will be helping with the ISTE 2014 PLN Lounge from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, 6/28/2014. He will be helping with the ISTE Network Open House from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Saturday, 6/28/2014. He will also be helping with the ISTE Plugins - Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) sessions from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, 6/29/2014.
Dr. Tatom will be Tweeting out during the conference with these two hashtags: #ISTE2014 & #ISTEAPLN (This is the Professional Learning Network that he takes an active part with. He will be serving as the Communications Chair for the Administrators' PLN during 2014-2015 & 2015-2016.)
This is a link to the Professional Learning Groups that are a part of ISTE. ISTE is in the transition of changing the groups from SIGS to PLN. Dr. Tatom's group is currently SIGAdmin, that is transitioning to ISTE APLN. He is encouraging his colleagues to find a group that they could possibly connect with. Connecting with ISTE APLN is what has given him the opportunity of taking part in Ignite Sessions Roundtables.
