Cohort 1 is in the final week of their first interaction with their iLearn General Education classes. The students have been interacting with several pedagogical technologies such as Twitter, Blackboard Learn, Google Documents, Math Lab, and interacting with videos made by their professors utilizing "Explain Everything". There are some students from each of the iLearn General Education classes that are taking part in Student Focus Groups and all of the students in the iLearn Cohort 1 classes are completing the Fall 2012 iLearn Survey. Their end of the semester exams will be compared to the baseline exams to determine if the interaction with technologies made an impact on the student learning outcomes.
Cohort 2 has finished up with their Overview of Pedagogical Technologies (OPT) and will begin their Advanced Training of Pedagogical Technologies (ATPT) during the last of December and the first of January. They have chosen the following topics for advanced training: iBooks Author, Prezi, Using Social Media, Blackboard Learn, Creating podcasts with the iPad and MacBook, ScreenFlow, Contribute, VoiceThread, Polling Systems with the iPad and MacBook, Using iMovie on the iPad and MacBook, QuickTime Pro, Doceri and Google Apps.
All of the iLearn classrooms (ASC 107, ASC 132, GC 304, GC 306, BK 309 and OM 02) are going to be completed during December and January with the installation of the webcams and Yeti Mic. Many of these rooms already have updated Epson PowerLite projectors and Apple TVs.
