My uncle owns a home improvement business and got a job of tiling several bedrooms down in Orange Beach, Alabama for the week of January 2nd. My aunt told me about this trip and that they were going for a whole week….and I kind of invited myself :)
I’ve never been to the beach in wintertime, so I didn’t know exactly what to expect. Turns out, the beach has a total different feel in the winter than it does in the summer. In the summer, you can hardly find a place to sit or lay out on the shore. In the winter, however, you can go out to the beach around noon and be the only soul on the beach…which is very relaxing and peaceful. One of our friends, Shawna, ended up coming with us and every morning, Donna (my aunt), Shawna, and I would go out to the beach and do a Bible study together. Every night, we would play card games with the men, which was one of my favorite parts of the day. It truly was a wonderful week! Only a few more weeks before school starts back!
