Our Vision: To provide strategic leadership that will shape the university's pedagogical technology initiatives. The University's Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) will continually introduce faculty and students to innovative technology models thereby creating a culture of "technology enhanced" teaching and learning. Freed-Hardeman University will be recognized for its academic strengths as a result of innovative technologies.
Instructional Technology goals: - To help improve the overall student experience
- To help improve student outcomes and success.
- To assist in improving communications and relationships in and out of the classroom.
- To empower the faculty to be innovative with instructional methods thereby enhancing classroom instruction.
- To help faculty perceive the instructional possibilities technology affords for teaching and learning.
- To assist in creating a participatory learning environment
- To assist in distinguishing FHU, its faculty, and its students, thereby strengthening our academic reputation.
- To assist our students in their preparation to be successful and life-long learners
- To better prepare our students for the workplace.
- To discover and promote the best practices related to teaching and learning.
- To publish and share outcomes of Instructional Technology initiatives.
