The CIT (Center for Instructional Technology) Innovator's Room will serve not only as a "Smart" classroom, but also as a special faculty resource in which faculty members are free to experiment with their pedagogy. The Innovator's Room will be equipped with the most current instructional technologies and will be reservable on a semester basis for one class offering.
After:
- Floor to ceiling whiteboard on three walls
- LCD panels in the corners
- eBeam units on all whiteboards
- Video cameras in the corners
- Moving partition
- All furniture is modular
- Mobile control podium
- Extension of Teaching and Learning Center
This room will be equipped with a mobile control center, four (4) ceiling projectors, one (1) mobile whiteboard, and six (6) whiteboards each equipped with eBeam Complete (http://www.e-beam.com/products/), which will allow for sharing and classroom capture. All common wireless technologies such as, Internet, network, microphone, etc. will be provided. The furniture in the Innovator's Room will be modular and easily moved around to the configuration desired by the faculty member.
An Instructional Technologist will be available for assistance as needed.
