Ambassadors
The Ambassadors are an acapella group that travel for the Office of Admissions singing at youth rallies and church events. 

Art Guild
The Art Guild was reinstated this semester as a self-governing body with four elected officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.  The main goal of the Guild is to spread the presence of Art throughout the FHU campus by creating paintings/murals for various locations by request (i.e. Activity Center) and by volunteering for public projects in the Henderson/Jackson area.  The group hosts various fund raisers as well in order to plan activities like field trips.

Biology Club
We provide a setting where students with a passion for science or medicine can exchange thoughts and ideas, network with others pursuing a career in the sciences, and to aid students in the transition from undergraduate to graduate or professional studies.

Campus Delegate Team
The Campus Delegate Team is a professional organization that serves as a team of student recruiters who travel, provide tours, and work in the office of Admissions.  


College Democrats 
The College Democrats is student political organization interested in public service projects, particularly ones that empower the poor, as well as politics. Service opportunities have included collecting used and new shoes to donate to Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity that gives shoes to needy people throughout the world, as well as March Forward, in which Soles4Souls set a goal to collect 40,000 pairs of shoes.

Collegiate Musicians/MENC
The Collegiate Musicians is a professional organization for music majors and minors.  It is affiliated with MENC: The National Association for Music Education.  Some students in the group are also student members of Music Teachers National Association, an organization primarily for teachers who teach music in the private studio.

During the year the organization has many activities and events.  Informal recitals give music students an opportunity to perform for their peers and to learn proper performance etiquette, both as a performer and audience member.  Discussion nights have covered many topics such as Resume Preparation, Practice Techniques, Collaborative Work, Shape Notes, Instrumental Methodology, PRAXIS prep/review, and Book Reviews.

Hardeman Boys  
The Hardeman Boys are an acapella group that travel for the Office of Admissions singing at youth rallies and church events. 

History Club
This club sponsors field trips, including trips this past year to Memphis to a museum specializing in Chinese artifacts, to Andrew Jackson’s mansion, The Hermitage, and to Shiloh National Military Park.  We also watch historically themed movies and have speakers at our meetings. Law Society
The FHU Law Society is a group of students who are interested in the law and legal philosophy, most of whom intend to go on to law school after they graduate. Going to law school, however, is NOT a requirement to be a part of this group.

Math and Computer Science Club
This club is a professional organization open to anyone interested in mathematics or computer science. Activities of the club include regional programming contests, guest lectures, and movie nights. In the spring, we celebrate Pi Day (3/14) and hold an integration bee, a high-intensity math contest. We always enjoy meeting together over food to discuss math and technology.

Preachers Club
The Preachers Club has two overall aims: first, it seeks to put young men (and young women – they can also benefit from many of these activities) interested in ministry into contact with men who have or are having successful ministry themselves, and help the young men learn practical ways to serve God and his people better; second, it is an endeavor to foster fellowship among these young men who will one day lead God’s people in ministry.

Psi Chi
Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications.

Social Work Students in Action
SWSA is charged with providing a better understanding of the principles, values, and ethics of the Social Work profession to others and to enhance educational advancement through providing services for the students, the university, and  community.


Society of Future Accountants
The purpose is to provide opportunities for accounting majors to interact, and we typically plan a social event each semester for this purpose.  The organization has guest speakers who are practicing accountants to visit us on campus and we plan an annual  field trip to visit various industries and to meet the accountants who work there. 

Student Alumni Assocation
The Student-Alumni Association at Freed-Hardeman exists to promote effective communication between students and alumni, educate current students about the importance of being a good alumnus or alumna, and assist the office of Alumni Relations and other faculty, staff and administration in achieving goals.

Student Government Association
The FHU Student Government Association (SGA) strives to provide students with quality service, spiritual, and entertainment opportunities. Additionally, the SGA also works hard to address student concerns with the Freed-Hardeman University faculty, staff and administration.
The SGA is composed of 31 elected members. Four senators are elected from each class Four executive officers are also elected by the student body. The four executive officers are responsible for its day-to-day operation. Our Freshmen Advisory Council is selected early in the fall semester.  Of great importance to the SGA are its four standing committees –, special events, student life, rules and regulations, safety and . spiritual life These committees are appointed by the SGA President and are open to all students.

The Student Government has a responsibility to give back to the students who have elected them. We are committed to upholding the ideas and beliefs of Freed-Hardeman University.   The Student Government Association has the purposes of representing the student body in all decisions affecting their environment, funding and coordinating student activities, striving to maintain good campus morale, and in all things promoting Christian belief and behavior. For more information, please contact Missie Lomoriello at mlomoriello@fhu.edu.
