It has been said that “prayer is not the preparation for the work; prayer is the work”.

That statement is a far cry from the reality of most of our experiences. We pray before meals, tests and long car trips. With our event ALL TOGETHER NOW coming up, we've been thinking and studying a lot about prayer and what it can do. Something we want to challenge you to do today is to pray: talk to God as a way of serving others.

Begin to really ask God to meet the needs of others.

Try this: carry a small notebook or piece of paper in your pocket everywhere you go. Keep an eye and ear out for people to bring before God. Make a note of that classmate or that stressed out teacher. Place some thoughts about your town and the hurting in it.

What we're finding is that living this way allows you to see that there are plenty of people who could use the encouragement that prayer brings. There are so many who need God's love.

Here's an added challenge: pray for others before you pray for your own needs.

Help us out! You've likely heard us talk about ALL TOGETHER NOW coming up in a few weeks on March 1st. We are blown away with how this is shaping up! We need your help. In addition to helping us get the word out about it - here's a way that you and your youth group could get involved beyond just watching it with us that Tuesday night.

Be a part of the big intro for ALL TOGETHER NOW! We think it'd be really cool to have as many teenagers and states represented as possible. Here's what we're thinking:

- Send us a quick video. All you have to say is "Hello from ___________ Church of Christ in ______________ or something along those lines. You can do it or say it however. Really. That's it! It doesn't have to be but a few seconds long.

- You can submit your video via Dropbox, or by contacting: go @ fhu.edu.

We need to have your clip by Thursday February 24. That'll give us time to put them all together for the event.

A special online event for students all over the world is happening Tuesday March 1 at 7PM cst. You'll get a glimpse of what's happening in churches all over the country and find that you're not alone. We anticipate hundreds of students to check in that night and can't wait to be a part of it!

We're getting emails and phone calls from youth groups all over the country who will be checking in on Tuesday March 1 for ALL TOGETHER NOW. This has been such an exciting project and something we never anticipated would grow so quickly! Thank you for helping us spread the word about it and for caring! We are humbled.

We are driven by the simple idea of what could happen when a large group of young people from all parts of the country join in together to pause and reflect on God's love and power. Imagine what could happen! Look for a fresh video tomorrow that explains a bit more about what to expect when you tune in on March 1. It's shaping up to be something special.
