Mission Statement
The mission of Innovation and Technology is to provide the technology infrastructure and support necessary for the institution to meet its strategic goals and objectives. It also serves to encourage, promote and facilitate the innovative use of technology in faculty pedagogy and student learning.

Innovation and Technology consists of three main areas. These areas work together in providing information technology support and services to both academic and non-academic related functions of the university. They are:
Network Operations
Network Operations includes all support for the Local Area Network, Internet connectivity, voice (telephones) and video services (Cable TV), multi-media teaching tools, data and video wiring, and all university servers. The Network Support area is staffed by two network administrators: Greg Maples and Tim Heath and a plant cabling administrator, Linard Richardson.
Web Services
Web Services provides leadership and support for Freed-Hardeman's website and all web application development. Web Services is staffed by Michael Plyler and a web programmer. Design support for our website is provided by Erin Marshall from OMUR. Web Services also utilizes several student interns for project development. Workstation Support
The area of Workstation Support provides support for all university-owned computers, software and peripherals. Workstation Support is staffed by Chris Hodges, Jeff Dove, David Novak and student workers.
