The Spanish Immersion Program, offered bienially in the summer of even years, is an exciting opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge of Spanish language and culture, all while receiving academic credit that can count toward their degree. The program is held in Madrid, Spain, at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
While in Madrid, you can:
- Take Spanish language and culture classes—taught by native speakers—and advance your Spanish language studies even further than you could without leaving the traditional campus setting.
- Participate in group excursions and take part in cultural experiences throughout Spain.
- Experience Spanish culture and life in Madrid first-hand by standing before the works of Spanish painters like Velasquez, Goya, El Greco, and Picasso, enjoying merienda (an afternoon snack) in La Puerta del Sol, and resting in the beautiful Parque del Buen Retiro.
