by Ruth Goetz and Augustus Goetz– November 8-10
Loyd Auditorium
It’s 1850 in the newly posh Washington Square district of uptown Manhattan. Dr. Sloper’s daughter, Catherine, is surprised to receive the attentions of the charming Morris Townsend. A plain and lonely girl, Catherine does not see Morris as her father does; a conniving fortune hunter. Yet, Catherine insists that she will marry Morris. What seems to be a humble domestic drama grows grander by the play’s surprising ending. Directed by R. Cliff Thompson
