Commissioned by the US Fish and Wildlife to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Wild Legacy illuminates the 1956 Sheenjek Expedition and the experiences of the devoted naturalists that explored this untouched piece of Alaskan wilderness. Adapted by company member Gloria Baxter with original music by company member Virginia Ralph, Wild Legacy employs Voices of the South's trademark Narrative Theatre style to tell Mardy and Olaus Murie's simple yet powerful story of love for each other and for the majesty of the Alaskan wilderness. A reception and post-show discussion follows.
