Romeo and Juliet

by William Shakespeare

Directed by R Cliff Thompson

Monday and Tuesday, September 8 and 9 from 7-10 p.m.

Loyd Auditorium

Plot: In a sleepy fishing village on the Mediterranean, two working-class families clash over grievances long forgotten. In the midst of conflict, a pair of teenagers-- “star-crossed” and “fortune fooled” -- struggle to build a life together. Shakespeare’s best-known play takes center stage in November. Directed by Cliff Thompson.

Roles for 18 M and 4W (doubling and gender-blind casting probable)

Performance Dates: November 5, 6, 8 in Henderson. November 13-15 in Dickson

Contact R Cliff Thompson for details.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Prepare a monologue of 12 lines from a play by Shakespeare. Doesn't have to come from Romeo and Juliet. The lines must be performed from memory.

Check out Shakespeare Monologues, a cool online source for monologues from the Bard's plays.

Audition will also include cold readings from the script. I'll post the scenes here.

NOTE: You don't have to attend Both Auditions to be cast. AND Interface and Club Activities may be missed to audition.
