Black Box Theatre

Meet the citizens who live and work in Texas’ third smallest town, where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. This eclectic band of men, women, and the pets they love are portrayed by only two actors, making this the wildest evening of theatre you’ll see all year. Directed by Carson Barker.

According to the "Greater Tuna Visitors Center," the show began as "a party skit based on a political cartoon more than 25 years ago." At first, authors Williams, Sears, and Howard toured their comic look at the life of this mythical small Texas town. Performances at the Edinburgh Festival and the White House catapulted the play into the national spotlight. While the authors continue to manage professional touring casts of "Greater Tuna" and other plays in the series, the script is also widely produced by amateur groups as well.
