Our Mission
The mission of the School of Business is to glorify God by providing a learning-centered education that prepares undergraduate and graduate students to serve as Christian business professionals. Achieving a reputation throughout the Mid-South region as an excellent business school built on the integration of Christian faith, character and engaged learning is the vision for the School of Business.


The strategic objectives of the School of Business are:

  • To provide a quality business education built on a solid business core, flexible and relevant curriculum options and focused on Christian leadership and ethics.

The School of Business provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare for excellent employment opportunities in the business world or for advanced study in business administration. The School of Business offers the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, Management and Marketing. The School of Business also offers a dual B.B.A./M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration) in Accounting and the MBA with Accounting, Leadership, and Corporate Responsibility emphasis areas.

The professional business training is provided by a faculty that is exceptionally well prepared both academically and professionally. Business faculty members maintain professional credentials such as the Certified Professional Marketer (CPM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). The Brown-Kopel Business Center provides an outstanding learning environment for developing the tools demanded in today’s competitive business environment.

Business students have the opportunity to participate in professional and honor organizations. The professional and honor organizations consist of Delta Mu Delta, Society for Future Accountants (SFA), Clayton Investment Team and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).

The School of Business is accredited by ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) for both the undergraduate and the MBA program. Accrediting over 300 institutions, ACBSP is the leading specialized accreditation association for business education.
