DOCTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (D.B.H.)

YOUR FUTURE BEGINS NOW

Freed-Hardeman University's D.B.H. program prepares current and future healthcare providers for a transforming healthcare marketplace. The advanced clinical and executive leadership skills you will gain from this program will help you to not only succeed, but be the kind of leader you've always wanted. There is no dissertation, but instead, the capstone research project allows for a broader range of research topics than those typically allowed by comparable Ph.D. programs, letting you choose a path that applies more directly to you as a helping professional.

WHY?

Because being able to provide advanced-integrated care will make you more valuable to your agency and your clients. Upon completion of this program, you will be on the cutting edge of behavioral healthcare. Additionally, the executive leadership skills you'll develop will prepare you to assume managerial positions or learn how to operate your own agency more effectively.

WHO?

The D.B.H. is designed for both licensed, experienced, master’s level practitioners and those seeking initial licensure. We’ve had studies in the following roles: clinical mental health counselor, clinical social worker, school psychologist, nurse practitioner, psychiatric nurse, physician assistant, and more!

WHERE?

Students can access all of the content for the 60-hour program completely online. Courses are taught in a combination of traditional online and synchronous web-conference classes. You’ll never have to step foot on campus. However, we’d love to watch you walk across the stage and receive your diploma!

WHEN?

There are available start dates in the fall, spring, or summer. Contact us today at gradstudies@fhu.edu for the next available start date!
