Thank you for visiting the Graduate Studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program offered by the Department of Behavioral Sciences at Freed-Hardeman University. We believe we have a well-designed, challenging, and highly successful program. Many of our graduates have secured full-time employment, gained state licensure, continued into doctoral programs, and/or scored well on the National Counseling Exam (NCE). I would encourage you to become a part of our growing success. If we can assist you in any way, please contact our graduate office.
Dr. Mike Cravens, Director
Graduate Studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Spiritual, mental and family wellbeing are central to healthy living. And healthy living is key to personal happiness and success. At Freed-Hardeman University, we train students from a variety of academic backgrounds to lend a hand to those in need of personal, group, couples or family counseling. In our Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, we offer an interdisciplinary approach to therapy while rooting the coursework in principles of Christian faith.
Counselors trained at FHU are able to focus not only on the emotional and mental concerns of their clients, but on overall health--helping couples, families, and individuals live more enriched, meaningful lives. Our counseling program is designed for you to complete all required studies for the rigorous standards of state licensure boards, managed care companies, healthcare providers and similar organizations. And as an L.P.C. Mental Health Service Provider, we also offer specific courses for national certification and licensing.
As online programs continue to grow, the Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Freed-Hardeman announces the beginning of an integrated residential/online graduate program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Almost all classes will now be available online. For more information on these new online courses and the integrated residential/online graduate program, please contact our graduate office at 1-800-FHU-FHU1, ext. 6638.
