So many times, your spiritual life can slip out from under you. We get caught up in playing sports, practicing for band, or studying at the last minute for an early morning test. Sometimes we’re not exactly busy, but other things get in the way of our spiritual growth like spending time with friends, browsing Facebook, adding things to Pinterest, or just wasting time doing nothing. We all make excuses and have reasons as to why our spiritual life is not the way it should be. It’s time to stop making excuses and really push ourselves to grow spiritually.
This year Freed-Hardeman University has again committed itself as a campus body to making sure that all students, faculty, and staff continue to strengthen their spiritual lives everyday. This growth comes in the form of daily chapel focusing on the theme, “Jesus And…..”. We’re looking at Jesus’s teachings on things such as moral issues, evangelism, prayer, service, and Heaven. This growth takes place in faculty and students joining together to participate in mission trips around the globe. This growth takes place in nightly devotionals and singings throughout the week. This growth takes place among students as they find ways to serve the local community.
Spiritual growth is happening on FHU’s campus and we want you to experience it firsthand. We will be constantly updating this blog with the things that FHU is doing, and what our students are doing to be involved with the love of God and the work of His church both locally and worldwide. We are committed to bringing you the latest and greatest spiritual and service opportunities happening on campus!
