One of the high points of our day in Cologne definitely involved the Cathedral (pictured below). The Cologne Cathedral lets you go to an observation deck at the top of one of their towers that is 157 meters (515 ft) tall. We went up the entire thing in a stone spiral staircase which seemed not to have an end. It took forever, and our legs were burning, but getting a great view 500 feet high over a German city was totally worth the long climb up the stairs.
