Summer Camps

Spend your summer with FHU!

This summer we invite you to experience FHU. You, your friends and your youth group can experience the Christian leadership at Horizons. Our Lion and Lady Lion Athletic Camps are designed to help you improve your athletic skills while becoming a true Champion of Character. You can also be a part of a life-changing week at FHU’s longest running camp, Mid-South Youth Camp.

Horizons July 2- 7, 2017

Horizons is a week-long spiritual experience for Christian leaders in grades 7-12 held on the campus of Freed-Hardeman University July 2 - 7, 2017.

Each day is filled with exciting classes, activities, games, group discussions, service projects and more. Each night you’ll hear dynamic speakers and worship with other Christians your age. You’ll get to spend time at the HoriZone, play ball or participate in any of the countless other activities available to you.

The theme for Horizons 2017 is 'A Beautiful Rebellion' and it was once again chosen by our campers. Our theme verse for the week will be Acts 17:6-7. The unbelieving people of ancient Thessalonica said that the Christians in their community 'have turned the world upside down' and 'they are all acting against the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus' (ESV). We each have to make a decision concerning who our king is. If we choose Jesus, it puts us in rebellion against the world... a beautiful rebellion.
