Online Emergency Notifications

We've integrated our emergency notification system, LionAlert, into nearly every major online service that we offer.

The Information You Need

Our notifications quickly inform our campus community when we have bad weather, important information or emergency situations.

LionAlert Emergency Notification Integration

Freed-Hardeman University strives to provide a safe and effective learning environment for the students, faculty, and staff that are affiliated with our university.

To provide a mode of mass communication, we have solicited the use of Rave Mobile Safety, a company that specializes in campus communications. With this partnership, we have the ability to communicate with the student body quickly concerning emergency-like situations or even bad weather.

LionAlert is what Rave is known as on FHU's campus. Our FHU family (students, faculty and staff) are auto-enrolled to this service, although they may opt-out of texting or email notifications, but not both.

In addition to the default emergency notifications, FHU has also deployed a LionAlert feed on our iKnow Applications, FHU's mobile website and on the homepage of www.fhu.edu. LionAlert is also integrated into our Twitter account and Facebook page. It is important to us to utilize all communication avenues to ensure that any emergency situation and notifications are quickly received by all of our residents and campus community.

We have also added Rave's Blackboard notifications service. This service allows faculty and students to receive notifications from Blackboard for changes to Assignments, Grades, Announcements and Calendar items.
