Only1, Version 4
FHU's password reset management system, Only1, has several new updates.
Only1 now relies on a set of security questions to identify user accounts.
Only1 is Freed-Hardeman University’s password management system.
This system has served to allow students, faculty and staff manage their campus accounts by resetting their passwords. Over the years, Only1 has seen several revisions.
With each new version there are several modifications and updates to the system, newer technology is incorporated and increased layers of security added.
Mark Scott, CTO, has this to say about the latest version of Only1:
"Prior to our new version of Only1, users had to rely on using personal identifiable information to reset their university password. Our goal has been and continues to be to eliminate the required use of such information in any of our systems and Only1 is helping accomplish this. The new Only1 no longer requires the use of personal identifiable information to reset a password. Now this is accomplished using a series of user created question and answer steps that verifies the user's identity without the need of entering personal information."
