Admissions Process

Before you begin registration, make sure you fit the following criteria:

  • Good standing as a junior or senior in high school
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
  • ACT score required by your high school
  • Approved dual enrollment application
  • Approval from parent or guardian
  • High school principal or counselor approval

 

How to Register for Dual Enrollment:

  1. Apply for Tennessee HOPE Dual Enrollment Grant (http://www.tn.gov/collegepays/mon_college/dual_enroll_grant_rules.htm) If you have already applied for the upcoming year, you may go to step 2. You may only apply for the grant for one institution.
  2. Register for class via my.fhu.edu portal (For directions on How to Register for Classes, click here.)
  3. After being admitted, new students will receive an email with my.fhu.edu login information
  4. Students already admitted to FHU may use their existing login. Already admitted students will need to notify Ginger Young (731-989-6225) to be cleared for enrollment.
  5. Students may enroll in a class through the fifth day that the class meets.
  6. Pay balance of tuition and fees through my.fhu.edu portal or by contacting FHU's student account office at 731-989-6363. Tuition is due by the fifth day of classes.  (Click here for more information on Tuition and Payment.)
