In this session, we will examine the use of the Attempt Statistics, Item Analysis, and Column Statistics tools in the Blackboard. Blackboard provides instructors an overall test/assignment performance to help recognize questions and assignments that might be poor discriminators of student performance. We will use these tools to help improve questions for future tests or to adjust credit on current attempts, provide a basis for remedial work, and improve classroom instruction. After this session, participants should be able to run attempt statistics, item analysis, and column statistics for a specific assignment/test in Blackboard and analysis the results.
