Benefit Dinner

The Benefit Dinner provides you with an opportunity to not only help bridge the financial gap that many students face with rising tuition costs, but also to hear one of the nation's leading personalities or entertainers.

Although winter weather forced former first lady Laura Bush to cancel her travel plans to FHU for the 2013 benefit dinner, the event still raised in excess of $1.4 million. Dinner and an abbreviated program were held for those who were able to make their way to campus.

As recent developments have overshadowed the FHU Benefit Dinner’s mission of helping students, Freed-Hardeman University has canceled Dr. Bill Cosby’s appearance and received confirmation that Dr. Ben Carson will speak at the dinner. Carson will address more than 2800 individuals for the dinner’s 50th anniversary Friday, Dec. 5.

If you have questions or concerns, please email your thoughts to the Vice President for University Advancement, Dave Clouse, at dclouse@fhu.edu.
