Adjunct Faculty (Henderson and Memphis)

Department: Dual Enrollment

Status: Part-Time, Adjunct Faculty

Reports To: Dean of Assigned College

Position Summary:

Freed-Hardeman University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach in its dual enrollment programs offered on the Henderson campus and at the Bucy Center located in Memphis. The University is seeking qualified individuals to begin teaching courses in the Fall 2017 semester in the following disciplines: biology, communications, English, history, literature, mathematics, Spanish.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active member in good standing of the churches of Christ
  • A master's degree in the teaching discipline or a master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). Individuals who do not have an earned master's degree but do have 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline may otherwise qualify using alternate faculty credentials such as other relevant degrees and coursework, relevant work experiences, professional licensure and certifications, honors and awards, continuous documented excellence in teaching, and other demonstrated competencies and achievements.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, teach, and assess assigned courses
  • Abides by all University policies governing behavior and in fulfillment of job requirements.

 

Compensation:

  • Salary will be based degree, background, and experience.
