Admissions Recruiter

As soon as possible.  A one-year probationary period is in effect for all exempt employees.

Position Summary:

Assist students to enroll at Freed-Hardeman University who will remain through the completion of a planned course of study by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Provide a positive campus visit experience. This includes conducting campus tours, administering campus visit surveys, being prepared to answer questions concerning enrollment, and exhibiting a commitment to customer service.
  2. Continually evaluate and improve the campus visit experience. This includes evaluation of pre-visit communication, the campus visit, and post-visit follow up.
  3. Develop and maintain a relationship with a pre-assigned cluster of Christian schools and serve as a liaison between that school and FHU.
  4. Develop and maintain a relationship with key congregations with historically high recruitment yields or high future potential for development. 
  5. Maintain tertiary responsibilities that are essential to the operations of the Office of Admissions.  These responsibilities may include event planning, coordination of the student worker program, management of the campus visit experience, etc.
  6. Exhibit a commitment to continuous improvement by looking for ways in which recruitment activities, travel, and campus visits can be enhanced.
  7. Manage expense budgets and purchase card requirements. 
  8. Participate with on-campus events and off-campus team events.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university. One to two years related experience and/or training. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to travel extensively. Knowledge of collegiate admissions process.
