Dr. Tatom has 26 years of K-12 educational experience including being a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and coordinator of staff development. He has been at Freed-Hardeman University since Spring 2006. He has served as a full-time Associate Professor in the School of Education until he was asked to oversee the Quality Enhancement Plan beginning with the summer of 2010. He also has the opportunity of serving as the Chairman of the TN State Board of Education's Advisory Council on Teacher Education and Certification. He served on the Digital Textbook Collaborative with the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and the Federal Education Department producing the K-12 Digital Textbook Playbook which was announced at the Digital Learning Day, 2/1/2012 in Washington, DC.
