Position:
Consumer Safety Officer

All candidates must meet the basic requirements specified under A or B.

A.  Applicants must have a degree which includes at least 30 semester hours in one or a combination of the following:  biological sciences, chemistry, pharmacy, physical sciences, food technology, nutrition, medical science, engineering, epidemiology, veterinary medical science, or related scientific fields that provide knowledge directly related to consumer safety officer work. The 30 semester house can include up to 8 semester hours in statistics or course work that includes the principle, theory, or practical application of computers or computer programming. 

OR

B.  A combination of education and experience - courses consisting of at least 30 semester hours in the fields of study described above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. The quality of the combination of education and experience must have been sufficient to demonstrate that the applicant possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform work in the occupation, and is comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of a full 4-year course of study with a major study in the appropriate field.

-Must be a US Citizen
-This position has a minimum education requirement (as stated above)
-You may be required to complete a background investigation
-Must operate a motor vehicle safely and posses a valid driver's license
-Will be required to travel up to 50% of the time
