FHU's Alpha Chi Chapter Inducts Twenty-eight New Members
Twenty-eight Freed-Hardeman University students were inducted into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society in a ceremony Monday, March 12, in the lobby of the Brown-Kopel Business Center.
The goal of Alpha Chi is “to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction.” Invitations for membership into Alpha Chi are extended to juniors and seniors who have a good reputation, are in the upper ten percent of their class and have cumulative GPAs of 3.8 on 80 or more credit hours.
The following students were inducted into Alpha Chi: Lauren Akin, junior mathematics major from Cleveland, Tenn.; Austin Ash, senior computer science major from Cleburne, Texas; Paige Atkinson, junior nursing major from Centerville, Tenn.; Jerica Bell, junior English and philosophy major from Chattanooga, Tenn.; Isaac Bourne, senior Bible major from Adams, Tenn.; Deborah Bruce, junior English major from Jefferson, Texas; Kelsey Caraway, junior arts and humanities major from Maryville, Tenn.; Bryant Cashion, junior history major from Hamilton, Ala.; Kerstin Galloway, senior special education major from Dickson, Tenn.; Ethan Garrett, senior Bible and accounting major from Edmond, Okla.; Brandyn Graves, senior art major from Pinson, Tenn.; Lee Hagewood, junior Bible major from Nashville, Tenn.; Melinda Harris, senior criminal justice major from Muscatine, Iowa; Carlie Haverkamp, senior art major from Metropolis, Ill; and Maggie Hearn, senior journalism major from Jackson, Tenn.
