JULY 8, 2013
More than a hundred Christians plan to spend three days of their summer vacations at Freed-Hardeman University’s annual Christian Training Series. The leadership workshop for Christian adults, set for July 18-20, will focus on the theme, “The Victories in Jesus.”
CTS provides an environment, opportunity and motivation for spiritual growth and renewal. In addition to worship services and chapel, four sessions will be presented daily on how to be victorious in Jesus. The theme is taken from a book by Mac Layton.
A movie in the Crews-Colbert Activity Center, a complimentary breakfast at FHU President and Mrs. Joe Wiley’s home and an FHU Associates’ luncheon are special activities featured during CTS. A live auction will be held at Friday evening’s dinner to benefit the E. Claude Gardner Bible Scholarship Fund.
The $80 registration fee for the series covers the registration packet, class materials, a tote bag and admission to the movie. The fee for those attending only one day is $20 and a $375 congregational fee entitles all members of a congregation to attend.
Sam Hester, a professor of Bible and church history at FHU, is the director of CTS. To register or learn more about CTS, visit fhu.edu/cts
