Freed-Hardeman University will offer Introduction to Creole in the spring semester, beginning Jan. 18 and continuing through May 11. The class will include learning basic phrases such as greetings, food names, directions, and asking questions.
The class will be taught on Monday nights 6-8 p.m. It may be taken for one, two, or three hours of credit or it may be audited. Community members may audit the course for $125.
The class will be particularly useful to mission and service teams who plan to visit or work in Haiti, according to Amy Brewster, a French instructor at FHU. She may be contacted at email@example.com.
