FHU Showcases Senior's Art

Freed-Hardeman University senior Danny Martin’s art exhibit entitled “Face Value” is now in the Troy Plunk Art Gallery in the Bulliner Clayton Visual Arts Building. The exhibit will remain in place through Friday, Dec. 7.

Martin is a studio art major from Pinellas Park, Fla. His exhibit focuses on portraits that “depict individuals who have been helped by the compassion of others.”

When Martin sells his paintings, the proceeds go to a related nonprofit. For example, a Club Quest mission group built a home for a child named David, from El Zorrillo, Mexico. All of the profits from prints and the portrait of David go to support Club Quest. Every portrait has a different face, story and organization or person supported by the profits.

Prints of the paintings will be available during the exhibit. For more information, email facevalueproject@gmail.com.
