FHU Board Chairman to Speak at Graduation Ceremonies
Brett Pharr, chairman of the Freed-Hardeman University Board of Trustees will speak at the school’s commencement exercises, Saturday, May 12, in Loyd Auditorium.
A total of 253 students are expected to participate in the program. Thirty of these will receive graduate degrees.
Pharr, a 1982 graduate of Freed-Hardeman, is Senior Vice President, Risk Management Executive for Bank of America. He is responsible for various risk management activities including Vendor Management and Credit Bureau Relationships. In his 30 years with the bank, he has served in many other capacities.
Pharr became chairman of the FHU Board of Trustees last year. He also serves on the board of the Haitian Christian Foundation in Abilene, Texas. He is an elder at the Gold Hill Church of Christ in Charlotte, N. C., where he preaches and teaches. He and his wife Nancy have one daughter, Brittany.
In addition to his Bachelor of Science in finance from FHU, Pharr holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Bristol University.
