WFHU Station Manager Inducted into National Broadcasting Society

Ron Means, station manager of WFHU, FM91, was inducted into Alpha Epsilon Rho, the honor society of the National Broadcasting Society, March 24 at the group’s national convention in New York City.

Means was honored because of his seventeen years experience as a media professional in the radio broadcast industry and his academic work as a graduate student at Murray State University. He is slated to receive his Master of Science degree in May. He has maintained a 4.0 grade point average in his graduate course work.

Means has managed the campus radio television station since 1999. He has worked to make the station more community-oriented since 2000 when it became the only radio station in the county. WFHU covers Chester County High School football games. The station has done live remotes at Arts in the Alley, Relay for Life, and the barbecue festival. The staff has proclaimed 2012 “The Year of Community Service.” Each department director has been assigned a month for which he or she organizes and implements a community service project.
