FHU Professor to Speak at West Virginia Conference
A Freed-Hardeman University professor will deliver a lecture dealing with philosophy and apologetics this spring in West Virginia. Dr. Rolland Pack, professor of philosophy and of biblical studies, will speak on “Engaging Moral Philosophy for Contemporary Apologetics” May 10 at Grande Pointe Conference and Reception Center in Vienna, W. Va. The conference is hosted by Warren Christian Apologetics Center.
Pack, a former director of the FHU Honors Program, holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Georgetown University. He was a research and teaching fellow of the Kennedy Institute while at Georgetown.
He will utilize biblical texts and examples of apologetics to challenge attendees to become better apologists. Lectures from the series will be published under the title, “Truth Acknowledges, Rejected and Applied.” Those attending the conference will receive a complimentary copy.
