Freed-Hardeman University Bible faculty are attending two separate conferences in Baltimore, Md. The first conference is the 65th Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS), Nov. 19-21. The second is the Annual Meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL), Nov. 23-26.
The program theme for the 65th Annual Meeting of ETS is “Evangelicalism, Inerrancy, and the Evangelical Theological Society: Retrospect and Prospect.” The program has more than 150 sessions with more than 600 presentations, panel discussions and special sessions. FHU Bible faculty members: Mark Blackwelder, Stan Mitchell, Roy Sharp and Ralph Gilmore will attend this conference.
At the SBL Annual Meeting, scholars benefit from sessions on religion, philosophy, ethics and diverse religious traditions. SBL was founded in 1880 to foster biblical scholarship. FHU Bible professors Doug Burleson and Jesse Robertson will attend this meeting.
