FHU Trustee to Speak at Commencement May 16

Henderson, Tenn. - May 06, 2015

John Law, vice chairman of the Freed-Hardeman University Board of Trustees, will deliver the address at FHU’s commencement exercises Saturday, May 16. Law graduated from FHU in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance.

FHU’s spring commencement will begin at 10:00am in Loyd Auditorium. More than 250 undergraduate and graduate students will participate in the exercise, according to Registrar Jared Gott. The Office of Alumni Relations will host a reception for graduates and their families following commencement exercises.

Law is the chief operating officer of property and casualty operations at Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee. He began working as an insurance agent at Farm Bureau in 1989, and has held multiple titles over the past 26 years. The American College awarded him the Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 1995 and the Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 2001.

Law and his wife, Adrienne, live in Columbia, Tennessee, where he serves as an elder at the West Seventh Church of Christ. The couple has two sons, Richard and Vince. Richard is a senior finance major at FHU.
