Trent Watrous, CPA and alumnus of Freed-Hardeman University, will deliver the address at FHU’s commencement exercises Saturday, May 17. Watrous is a 1993 graduate of FHU, having earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.
Watrous has been a partner at Nashville-based firm Whisenant, Stewart, Watrous & Associates since 2009. As a leader of the dental services practice, Watrous serves dental clients in roles ranging from oversight of practice transitions to growth management within dental practices.
In addition to his work with dental clients, Watrous is a sought-after speaker. In the past, he has instructed special agents of the FBI, spoken to groups on various accounting matters and taught audiences how to read financial documents and detect deception.
Watrous is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, American Institution of Certified Public Accountants and Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. He attends the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ, where he serves as a deacon and Bible class teacher.
FHU’s spring commencement will begin at 10 a.m. at Loyd Auditorium. Approximately 250 students will participate in the ceremony.
