FHU Receives Top Awards from eduStyle.net

Freed-Hardeman University is now the proud home of an award-winning website. At their conference held in Chicago on July 27, 2010, eduStyle.net named the Freed-Hardeman website Best Home Page and Best Integration of Social Networking. Freed-Hardeman’s website was also nominated for Best Mobile Site and Best Overall Site.

eduStyle.net is a web design gallery for and by higher education web professionals. Its goal is to provide these professionals with shared learning and inspiration from their peers. In the two and a half years it has been operating, eduStyle.net has had more than 3,000 websites submitted and over 10,000 visitors each month.

The awards that the Freed-Hardeman website received are given annually to higher education websites that have been redesigned during the past year. Numerous people were responsible for bringing this recognition to Freed-Hardeman, including our OMUR Web Designer Jonathan Newberry and our IT Webmaster Michael Plyler.

"It is an honor to receive these awards,” said Newberry, “and I'm thankful for all those who helped bring this recognition to Freed-Hardeman."

Plyler echoed this sentiment of gratitude. "Our website is a culmination of planning, design and implementation from several individuals. I am excited to see FHU being recognized for these efforts."
