FHU Announces 2016 Homecoming Royalty

The 2016 Freed-Hardeman University homecoming court will be presented during the daily chapel service Wednesday, Nov. 9. The king and queen will be crowned Saturday, Nov. 12, during halftime of the Lady Lions’ basketball game. The student body selected the representatives from each class.

The senior class representatives also serve as candidates for homecoming king and queen. Three students have been nominated for homecoming queen. Rayna Glass, from Hiseville, Kentucky, is a public relations major. She is very active in the social club Sigma Rho and helps with the causes they support. Cassie Sikes is a management major from York, Nebraska. She currently serves as a vice president for the social club Chi Beta Chi, the secretary for missions for the Management Club and an administrative assistant for the College of Business. Savannah Mills of Clarksville, Tennessee, is a marketing major. She is a member of Sigma Rho and is highly active in its events.

Three senior men have been nominated for homecoming king. Landen Wright of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a Bible major with an emphasis in missions. He currently serves in an advisory role in the Student Government Association after serving as student body president for the 2015-2016 school year. He is also vice president of Chi Beta Chi. Cody Nicholson from Chapmansboro, Tennessee, is an exercise science major with plans to attend physical therapy school after graduation. He is a member of Pi Epsilon and a coordinator for Makin’ Music 2017, and he is a member of Sigma Rho. Noah Icenhour is a Bible major with an emphasis in preaching and a minor in family studies from Springfield, Ohio. He is a member of Chi Beta Chi; additionally, he is a co-founder of 312 Ministries and the college minister of Finger Church of Christ.

The junior class will be represented by Kirby Gatlin from Petersburg, Tennessee; Caitlyn Carter from Spring Hill, Tennessee; Richard Turner from Knoxville, Tennessee, and Jacob Holmes from Columbia, Tennessee.

Sophomore representatives are Lydia Powers from Florence, Alabama; Zoie Birdwell from Celina, Tennessee; Drew Ferguson from Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Nash Hearn from Henderson, Tennessee.

The freshman class representatives are Conley Clouse from Jackson, Tennessee; Amelia Rogers from Lexington, Kentucky; Ben Coleman from Savannah, Tennessee; and Blair Varner from Henderson, Tennessee.
