FHU Offers New Program for Healthcare Professionals

Henderson, Tenn. - May 05, 2016

Starting in the fall 2016 semester, employees already at work in the healthcare field or those seeking to enter the field can earn an MBA in Healthcare Management at Freed-Hardeman University. The degree will prepare students to enter one of the fastest-growing careers in the country.

Recent college graduates with interest or experience in the healthcare industry can complete the 30-hour program in as little as one year, taking all of the required courses online. The FHU program also includes an internship option, giving students on-the-job experience to add to their resume.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects a 23 percent growth for medical, and health service managers through 2022. That compares to 11 percent for all occupations. That same research expects medical and health service managers to earn more than $90,000 a year. A Forbes study listed an MBA in healthcare administration as one of the best degrees for job-seekers.
