FHU Professor Appointed to Honor Society Board of Directors

Dr. Thomas W. DeBerry, Freed-Hardeman University professor of accounting, has been appointed to the board of directors for Delta Mu Delta. DeBerry will represent Region Three, which covers eight states in the Southeast.

The society is the exclusive honor society for four-year academic institutions accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. The 327 chapters of the society aim to promote higher scholarship in business education and to recognize scholastic achievement.

FHU’s Delta Rho Chapter of Delta Mu Delta has been in existence for 30 years.

DeBerry has taught at FHU since 2006. Prior to joining the FHU faculty, he taught at the University of North Georgia and Lubbock Christian University. In addition to his career in higher education, DeBerry has authored numerous publications in accounting and economics, including articles in The CPA Journal, The Journal of Forensic Accounting and Business Horizons.

The College of Business offers Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees to qualified students. The MBA program can be completed in 12 months entirely with online courses. Students may enroll in a dual BBA/MBA program, in which both degrees can be earned in five years.
