Two representatives of Freed-Hardeman University will present a workshop on using the iPad Wednesday, May 4. It will be hosted by the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce at the chamber offices. Mark Scott, FHU vice president for technology and innovation, and Patrick Bolton, instructional technologist at Freed-Hardeman, will conduct the training.
The session, which begins at 9 a.m., will demonstrate various ways to utilize the iPad and iPad 2 in everyday business activities. The workshop will conclude with a question and answer session. Advance registration is required.
Freed-Hardeman will conduct its third pilot program this fall to gauge the effectiveness of the iPad in the classroom. This fall’s program will also include interactive textbooks from Inkling.
