FHU Art Student Receives Award

Freed-Hardeman University student Alexandria Maxwell has been recognized by the “Artists of the 21st Century” exhibition in Humboldt, Tenn. Maxwell received the first place prize in the two-dimensional media category of the competition.

“Artists of the 21st Century” is a juried exhibition of collegiate student art coordinated by University of Tennessee Martin. The competition, which spans nine states, is hosted by the West Tennessee Regional Art Center in Humboldt.

Maxwell is a senior art major from Somerville, Tenn. She plans to pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree after graduation.
