Two members of the Freed-Hardeman University nursing faculty have been awarded advanced degrees. Linda Gibson has received a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and Ada Allen has earned a Master of Science in Nursing.
Gibson did her doctoral work with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah. Allen’s degree is from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Ky. Gibson, assistant professor of nursing, also serves as the interim director of the FHU program. Mrs. Allen is an instructor of nursing at FHU.
Freed-Hardeman offers the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. “We feel this program particularly fits the mission of Freed-Hardeman,” Dr. LeAnn Self-Davis, dean of the School of Sciences and Mathematics, said. “We are excited about our graduates entering the job market and serving in this way.”
