Rachel Sherer to Exhibit Paintings in FHU Gallery

AUGUST 29, 2013

Rachael Sherer, Spanish Fort, Ala., will exhibit her paintings in Freed-Hardeman University’s Troy Plunk Gallery Sept. 5-Oct. 4. A reception and artist’s talk are planned for Sept. 5, 5-7 p.m.

Sherer has a degree in interior design from the University of Alabama. Her art has been displayed widely throughout the Southeast. She is represented by the Lyons Share Gallery in Fairhope, Ala. Her favorite subjects are animals and nature.

Sherer said, “I am most inspired by the awesome beauty of details in nature that are often overlooked. To captivate the viewer by drawing attention to this through realism motivates my approach to each painting.”
