The Tennessee College Republicans is comprised of 15 chapters from public and private universities across the state. The committee presents the “Chapter of the Year” award annually to a chapter that best promotes conservative, Republican values.

According to Yoches, “This award is not just about size. It’s about being active and standing strong in the face of opposition. The Tennessee College Republicans recognized the amount of work and effort our chapter has put in this past year.”

In the 2013-14 school year, the FHU College Republicans brought in guest speakers including Congressman Marsha Blackburn, Deputy Speaker Steve McDaniel and Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett. The Hargett event, attended by more than 70 people, was the largest meeting in club history.
